LGF Backlit Membrane Switch
LGF (Light Guide Film) Backlit Membrane Switch is a membrane switch with a LED backlit design that combines Light Guide Film (LGF) technology, which enables high visibility in low-light conditions. This technology is frequently used in electronic devices that require night-time operation or a sophisticated backlit appearance.
How it works
An LED light source projects light into a thin light guide film. The film's micro-structures—such as dots or prisms—efficiently scatter and diffuse this light, ensuring that the entire key area is illuminated evenly without any bright spots. When a user presses a button on the overlay, a conductive layer makes contact with another conductive layer beneath, completing the circuit and sending a signal to the device's processor. Releasing the button breaks the contact and the circuit, stopping the signal.
