LGF backlight membrane switch

An LGF (Light Guide Film Backlit Membrane Switch) is a membrane switch that incorporates light guide film (LGF) technology, achieving high visibility of buttons in low-light environments through a backlit design. It is commonly used in electronic devices requiring nighttime operation or aesthetically pleasing backlighting effects.
Working principle and backlight function:
The LED light source is evenly scattered through the microstructure (dots or prisms) of the light guide film, illuminating the button area. Switch function: When the surface is pressed, the upper and lower circuits make contact and conduct, triggering a signal; releasing the button disconnects the circuit.
Features
Uniform backlighting: The light guide film avoids localized bright spots and improves visual effects.
Lightweight and flexible: typically less than 1 mm thick, suitable for compact spaces.
Durability: Lifespan up to one million cycles or more, dustproof and waterproof (IP protection rating optional).
Low power consumption: LED backlighting is energy-efficient and suitable for battery-powered devices.
Customization: Supports multiple colors, brightness levels, and pattern designs.
Application areas
Industrial control panels (such as medical equipment and machine tool operation).
Consumer electronics (touch panels for home appliances, game controllers).
Automotive electronics (center console, instrument panel buttons).
Aerospace and military equipment (scenarios requiring high reliability).
