PET Membrane Switch
PET membrane switch is a type of electrical switch consists of multiple layers of materials.
How it Works:
When a user presses a button on the graphic overlay, it flexes and makes contact with the circuit layer beneath, completing a circuit and sending a signal. Releasing the pressure separates the layers, breaking the circuit.
Features
Thin and Flexibility: Thickness 0.1-0.3mm in total, bendable, suitable for devices where space is limited.
Durability: PET material is resistant to high temperature (-40℃~+125℃), chemical corrosion and moisture
Reliability: Its buttons are generally designed to last for at least 1 million actuations (keystrokes), the button lifetime may vary due to different production processes and material selections
Customization: Customizable in terms of graphics, shapes, colors, backlighting (e.g.: LEDs, fiber optic, electroluminescent), and tactile type (embossed or flat).
