Fiber Optic Backlighting Membrane Switch
A fiber optic backlit membrane switch is an interactive control component that combines membrane switch technology with fiber optic backlighting. It achieves uniform backlighting by embedding optical fibers or light-guiding materials, making it suitable for use in low-light conditions or where high visibility is required.
How it works
Operation: When a user presses a key, the top circuit layer makes contact with the bottom circuit layer to form a closed loop, and sending a signal.
Backlight: LED light is diffused through an optical fiber cable or light guide film, evenly distribute light across the switch's surface, for improving visibility in low-light conditions.
Features
Uniform Light Distribution: It provides a consistent, even light across a large area, eliminating "hot spots" (bright points) and dark areas that can occur with individual LEDs.
Ultra-Thin and Flexible: At approx. 1mm thick, its ultra-thin profile makes the fiber optic panel highly flexible, and can be easily installed on slightly curved surfaces.
Durability: It is water and dustproof (IP67 optional) and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +80°C.
Low Power Consumption: Fiber optic backlighting typically requires less power, making it suitable for battery-powered devices.
Long Lifespan: No mechanical parts, key life exceeds 1 million times.
