FPC Membrane switch
FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) membrane switch is a high-performance switch that employs copper traces on a polyimide (Kapton) or polyester substrate as its core conductive layer. FPC membrane switches are used in a wide range of applications, including: medical devices, automotive electronics, industrial control panels, consumer electronics etc.
Features
Flexibility & Durability: It can be bent/ folded (more than 100,000 times), suitable for intricate designs and curved interfaces.
Integration: Supports multi-layer circuit design, allows the integration of components like LEDs (for backlighting and visual feedback), resistors and capacitor etc.
Thin: total thickness 0.3-1.0 mm which making them ideal for devices where space is limited.
Environmental adaptability: Operate in wide temperature range (-40℃~+85℃), dustproof and waterproof (up to IP67)
Tactile feedback: Metal dome, polyester dome and carbon pills are options to achieve tactile feedback, polyester dome and carbon pills are relatively quiet.
