PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a high-performance engineering plastic with the following characteristics:
High transparency Its light transmittance can reach over 90%, which is close to that of glass.
High strength It is resistant to tensile stress and impact, and is superior to ordinary PVC or PC.
Chemical resistance It is resistant to corrosion from grease, alcohol, and detergents.
Temperature resistance Stable at -40℃ to 120℃ (some modified PET can reach 150℃).
Environmental protection Recyclable and RoHS/REACH compliant.

Fitness consoles and machine fronts take thousands of key presses, and a front panel overlay is the part that flexes each time. The high-grade PET film is chosen for that flex life, so it holds its shape and its printed detail instead of cracking along the key edges.
Hands are the other test. Sweat sits on a treadmill console all day, and oil and grease find their way onto machine panels. PET resists sweat, oil and chemicals — the grease, alcohol and detergents that end up on a working panel — so a wipe-down does not soften the film or dull the print.
That is why this film is specified for equipment that runs every day rather than a simple printed label.
Model matching is where most interface projects succeed or stall. Send us your panel dimensions, actuation requirements, sealing and ESD needs, and operating environment, and our technical team will recommend the construction that fits — membrane switch, graphic overlay, or touch panel — together with the tactile, backlighting, and integration options open to you. We stay involved after the order as well, assisting with troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning so your units move into production without surprises.
Logos, icons, key legends, warning symbols, decorative patterns and indicator windows can all be printed on the film, and areas that must stay clear for a display or a backlight are left unprinted. Send vector artwork or a dimensioned drawing and we will confirm how the layout sits on your panel outline. Every custom graphic overlay is printed to the design you supply rather than a standard template.
The printed front panel overlay is made from scratch-resistant PET, so keys, rings and everyday cleaning cloths do not dull the legends during normal use. Keep blades, scrapers and sharp tools away from the surface and the panel keeps its finish through years of handling on the equipment.
A soft, damp cloth handles everyday marks, and a mild detergent helps with heavier soiling. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool and aggressive solvent soaks. Until the panel is fitted, keep it flat with the protective liner in place and out of direct sunlight so the surface arrives clean and undistorted.
Yes. Legend and window areas are left unprinted so light from a backlight or an LED indicator passes through the film, and the printed graphics stay crisp around the lit zones. Tell us which keys and indicators are lit when you send the artwork so the clear areas line up with the light source.
PET is a polyester film, so the overlay adds very little height to the front of your equipment and sits flat against the housing. The exact thickness is matched to your housing and confirmed against your drawing before production.
Every custom control panel overlay is checked against the approved drawing — outline, window positions, print and colour — before it is packed. Printing and cutting are handled in our own production, and the plant works to ISO 9001 quality management, so a repeat order is measured against the same approved artwork as the first run.
